| Mr.
Shuck was born at Sutherland, Iowa. He attended rural school at White, S. D. and attended the White Public High School he attended South Dakota University and earned his B. S. Degree. Mr. Shuck studied at Oregon State College at Corvallis, Oregon and later earned his M.A. Degree from S.D.S.U. Mr. Shuck taught at Laplant, S.D. - 3 years; Freeman, S.D. - 4 yrs. ; Lake Norden, S.D. - 4 yrs ; Wak- pole, S.D. - 1 yr ; Arlington, S. D. - 11 yrs ; Platte, S.D. - 1 yr ; Clear Lake, S. D. - 7 yrs. He has taught in the areas of mathematics, History and shop. He has held the position of principal and superintendent. Mr. Shuck came to Clear Lake in 1964. He has served as Superintend- ent here for the last seven years. Mr. Shuck has been in the teaching field for 31 years. He is contemplating some leisure years of retirement. |
Mr.
Potas was born at Parker, South Dakota. He attended rural school near Parker for his first grade and finished his elementary schooling in the Parker Elementary School. Upon completion of Elementary School, Mr. Potas attended the Parker High School and graduated in 1954. Mr. Potas continued his education and received his B. S. Degree in Ag- ricultural Education from S. D. S. U. in 1958. He received his M. Ed. in 1963 from S. D. S. U. He is presently working on his Ph. D. at U. S. D. Mr. Potas taught agriculture in Mon- roe, S. D. - 1 yr ; Willow Lake, S. D. - 2 yrs ; and in 1962, came to Clear Lake and taught agriculture for 4 yrs. He became principal of Clear Lake Public High School in 1966 and served in the position until 1970 - 71. He plans to finish his Doctor of Phi- losophy Degree next year at the University of South Dakota. |
